Current Project Work (Term 2)

Filed under: Uncategorized — David Bullock @ 3:38 pm

This is the work I am currently making for my project. The work produced in this term will be part of an exhibition which is held on the 8th-20th March 2010 at the Arts Organisation next to Nottingham Train Station. The purpose of this project is to explore how clothing works with backgrounds. In the case of the project I have chosen I am looking at Wedding Dresses with locations such as Nottingham Castle, Wollaton Hall, Elvaston Castle. Please feel free to comment on the photographs.

Below are a few samples of my work. I have lowered the Resolution dramatically and stamped copyright on the photographs to prevent theft of the Photographs. Please ask permission if you would like to view the photograph larger.

Thanks

  1. Some nice shots in there. Watch your angles. There’s a couple of shots that are just slightly wonky. If you’re shooting deliberately off axis, then make it very off axis. If it’s only a few degrees off, it just looks accidental.

Only other thing to watch is the models hands in a few of them, but that comes eventually as you’ll stop worrying about some of the other things.

Next thing I’d invest in would be a good lens to be able to isolate your subject from the background.

Keep at it… definitely going in the right direction! :)
